Samburu Sopa Lodge
Situated on a hill between the Samburu Mountains and Mount Kenya, the Samburu Sopa Lodge offers a fantastic view. The lodge is the only safari lodge in the reserve with a waterhole, so you have the opportunity to observe the animals directly from your terrace or from the reception. This is especially spectacular in the dry season. The reserve is home to many rare animals such as the Grevvy zebra, the Beisa antelope and the giraffe gazelle. Of course you will also find the “Big Five” here.
30 cottages form an arch around the waterhole and fit perfectly into the landscape. The style is based on the huts of the local Samburu people. Each cottage has 2 rooms, which are furnished very nicely. The rooms have 2 beds, a private bathroom with shower and a private terrace. For the furniture and decoration only local materials have been used. High ceilings and the generous cut of the rooms let them appear airy. Our favourite when it comes to Lodges and Safari Camps in Samburu National Reserve!
