Sweetwaters Serena Camp
A sheltered oasis, clustered around a waterhole, the luxurious Serena Sweetwaters Camp is in a class of its own. Designed to offer a charming blend of authentic safari feeling and uncompromising luxury, Sweetwaters Tented Camp has long been the preferred retreat of wilderness and safari lovers alike. Built in the 1970s, the camp’s main building originally functioned as the residence of the ranch manager. Accommodation is provided in 50 luxuriously appointed tents each with an en-suite bathroom and a veranda with views of the water hole against the backdrop of Mount Kenya. Our clear favourite when it comes to Lodges and Safari Camps in Ol Pejeta Conservancy!
Serena Sweet Waters Camp is located in the private Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which covers 36,000 hectares and offers a magnificent view of Mount Kenya. This area is the largest sanctuary for endangered black rhinos in East Africa. Kenya’s only chimpanzees can be visited in the Ol Pejeta chimpanzee sanctuary. These animals are not native to the Kenyan highlands and were mostly rescued from the Congo by the Jane-Godall-Organisation and found their new home here.
