Description and Price
Our driver will comfortably pick you up from your hotel in Mombasa/Diani in the early morning at 07.30am. We then drive to Funzi Island, which is located about 35km south of famous Diani Beach. Our way is lined with idyllic coconut palms and cashew nut farms. A trip to Funzi Island is a wonderful experience for body and mind. You are in for an adventure-filled day, as you sail through mangroves, explore the meandering estuary of the Ramisi River (home to Crocodiles and rare beautiful birds), stop at the sand bank across the bay for a stroll and swim or even explore the Funzi Village.
Adventure makes hungry. Good news is, delicious sea food menus are waiting for you close-by. For authentic atmosphere, the food is served in a genuine Swahili house at Funzi Mangrove Resort. At around 4pm, we turn our boat and head back towards the main land. We then safely deliver you back to your hotel, where you reach in the afternoon hours. If you are looking for a quick&easy, yet inspirational adventure, it doesn’t get better than a day trip to Funzi Island. To make the very best of your adventure, we advise you to bring a hat, sun cream, reef shoes and snorkeling equipment.
