3 Days Tsavo East & Lumo Private Safari

Day 1: Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo East National Park

Our driver will comfortably pick you up from your hotel at 6:30am in the early morning. We then start off together to Tsavo East National Park, where we arrive in time for a spectacular morning game drive with chances to spot Red Elephants, Lions, Buffaloes, Hippos, Giraffes, Gazelles, Waterbucks, Leopards, Zebras and an abundance of bird species. After the morning game drive, we check in at our accommodation for lunch. We have time to relax and dip into the inviting swimming pool, then head for an exciting game viewing trip in the late afternoon.

There are many fascinating aspects to observe in the open areas of Tsavo East, such as the Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows. An additional attraction is the Athi River flanked by stately Doum palms which, near the Manyani gate, forms the Lugard Falls, a long stretch of rippling white-water cataracts and a favorite haunt for sunbathing Crocodiles.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary (Lions Bluff)

On our second day of safari adventure we wake up early in the morning for an energizing cup of coffee and then leave for a spectacular early-morning game drive. This is our chance to spot an abundance of animals, as the majority of Tsavo’s wildlife is very active in the morning hours. Tsavo is Big Game Country, all of the BIG FIVE call the park home.

After breakfast, we check out and proceed with a game drive en-route to the Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary. If you are looking for adventures off the beaten track, you can’t go wrong with Lumo. The private sanctuary’s rich wildlife is astonishing, and the park entry fees (included in the price of course) help the owners to conserve this beautiful natural paradise for the future. At the exclusive Lions Bluff Lodge, you find time to relax on your private veranda while enjoying the unrivaled 360 degrees views overlooking miles and miles of uninhabited Africa. Later, we proceed with a spectacular evening game drive in this breathtakingly beautiful environment.

Day 3: Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary (Lions Bluff) – Mombasa/Diani

On our third day of safari, we wake up early in the morning for a cup of tea or coffee and embark on an early-morning game drive looking for even more wildlife. If we get lucky with the weather, we may have a glance at the beautiful snow-capped peaks of Mt. Kilimanjaro at time of sunrise. After our morning game drive, we return back to the lodge for a comfortable full breakfast, freshen up a bit and check out with a short game drive en-route. We then depart Lumo Community Wildlife Sanctuary for Mombasa or Diani, later taking lunch at Voi Town. After lunch, we continue our journey back to Mombasa/Diani, where we safely bring you back to your hotel in the early evening hours. While your safari ends here, you won’t go empty-handed. The marvelous memories of your safari and the strong spirit of African adventure will stay with you forever.
