Day 1: Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo East National Park
Our driver will comfortably pick you up from your hotel at 6:30am in the early morning. We then depart to Tsavo East National Park, situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert. Upon arrival we enter the park through the Bachuma gate, then proceed on a game drive en-route to our accommodation. We arrive in good time for lunch and then set off for a spectacular afternoon game drive.
Tsavo East hosts a large variety of animals, including Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Zebras, Giraffes, Antelopes, Ostriches, Gazelles, Buffaloes and Elephants. There are many interesting physical landmarks to be observed in the open areas of Tsavo East, such as the Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows. An additional attraction is the Athi River, which near the Manyani gate forms the Lugard Falls, a long stretch of rippling white-water cataracts and a favorite haunt for sunbathing Crocodiles. As the sun sets over Tsavo National Park, we head back to our lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 2: Tsavo East National Park – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast, we leave Tsavo East behind us and head for Amboseli National Park (254 kilometers distance, approx. 4 hours of drive). On a clear we marvel at majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as we approach the park. We arrive at our lodge in perfect time for lunch. We then have time to relax and dip into the inviting swimming pool, before setting out for a stunning game drive. Amboseli is best known for its great herds of Elephants – you’ll often find plenty of them standing knee-deep in the water, spraying water, eating and bathing in the swamps to cool off. Predators stalk the herds of grazing animals, recreating the age-old drama of life and death under the African sun, in a setting so lushly beautiful.
Cheetahs, Buffaloes, Giraffes, different types of Gazelle and rich plains game are but a few examples of the stunning wildlife found here. As the sun goes down on Amboseli National Park, we return to our accommodation for dinner.
