"Red Dust of Tsavo" Safari
Short Description and Price
This 2 Days Tsavo East Private Safari takes you to famous Tsavo East National Park, an epitome of East African beauty. All Big Cats, Giraffes, Zebras, more than 500 different species of birds and many more animals flourish in the park’s savannahs. But what Tsavo East is best-known for are the “Red Elephants” which call the park home. They owe their rather fancy colour to the bright-red soil which covers the park and which the Elephants use to protect their sensitive skin from insects and the sun.

Day 1: Mombasa/Diani – Tsavo East National Park
You will be comfortably picked from your respective hotel by our driver in the early morning at 6:30am. We then together proceed to beautiful Tsavo East National Park, situated in a semi-arid area previously known as the Taru Desert. Upon arrival we enter the park through the Bachuma Gate, then proceed on a game-drive en-route to the accommodation. We arrive there in good time for lunch, relax for a bit and then set off for the afternoon game drive. A large variety of animals can be seen, such as Lions, Leopards, Cheetahs, Zebras, Giraffes, Serval Cats, Buffaloes and of course Tsavo’s famous Red Elephants.
There are many interesting aspects to observe in the open areas of Tsavo East: The Yatta Plateau, one of the world’s longest lava flows, the Athi River flanked by stately Doum palms, and the Lugard Falls, a long stretch of rippling white water cataracts and a favorite haunt for sunbathing Crocodiles.
